Reminiscent of a ripple across a glassy lake, the Ripply Candle Holder reflect the environment through their curved forms. Made from mirror polished stainless steel, these soft shapes transform an industrial material into something almost ephemeral. Existing as a sculptural form, function is only revealed when placing a candle into one of the widening voids between the sheets of steel.
New Works presents work at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art. Their work pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today.
